Restoran Mahbub started in 1974 originally as Restaurant Sharifa in Bangsar.In 1995 the restaurant was formally renamed and has been successfully run for last three generations known popularly as Restoran Mahbub. In the beginning, we started with very few dishes but quickly gained popularity with our main dish the Nasi Briyani Ayam Madu (Honey Chicken Briyani) which has become the best signature dish since 1974 until now. Apart from the Nasi Briyani which forms an integral part of the Indian cuisine, over the years the restaurant has served a wide variety of dishes and has gained popularity as having the best Nasi Briyani Ayam Madu in town. By the year 2000, the restaurant introduced its best selling dish which until now has been a top seller - the Nasi Briyani Buhara, another signature dish by Restoran Mahbub which gives you more spices for an exotic experience filled with aromatic smell.

Our main customers who enjoy and cherish our dishes are the Malays, the Chinese, the Indians and the Westerners who never miss a chance to taste our dishes and helped Restaurant Mahbub to make its way into one of the A-list restaurants in Malaysia. We have two main branches carrying the well-known brand name “The Restoran Mahbub” in Bangsar and DamansaraDamai. We have also introduced the new innovative Briyani Box which our customers can buy anytime and preheat it later using a microwave oven and fully enjoy a hot and delicious Nasi Briyani at their convenience. Furthermore, the original age old recipe of this dish has been carried ontraditionally from time immemorial until now without the slightest of change to ensure the authenticity of the traditional taste and experience.

We take special care for all our dishes and make it special to our customers and all the spices and condiments used in the making of the briyanis are made by us in-house. The aromatic ingredients increase the quality of taste and add to the nutritious value of the Indian food.
