Ying Ker Lou Hakka Cuisine

Our founders, managements and chefs are all Hakkas. Our signature dishes include traditional dishes such as Hakka Stuffed Bean Curd, Pork Knuckle with Ginger and Rice Vinegar, Hakka Style Fried Pork Belly with Black Fungus, Chicken with Ginger and Rice Wine, and Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetable. Hakka stuffed bean curd is fried to perfection; light golden on the outside and smooth white on the inside with fresh aromatic fillings(Hakka Stuffed Bean Curd is actually a substitute for ‘Jiaozi’ or dumplings of the northen favorite, with bean curd replacing flour which was in acute shortage during the migration to the south). Pork Knuckle with Ginger and Rice Vinegar is of precise tenderness with savouty vinegar to tone down the fattiness and provide a zesty aftertaste. Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables features ‘not too fat’ pork belly enhanced by fragrant preserved vegetable from Huizhou, Guangdong.
